What does it mean that we made it to the quarterfinals? It means The Vulgar Vegan is in the Top 1% of all chefs in the competition! Carla Hall’s Favorite Chef competition is being run by Colossal.org as part of a fundraising campaign on behalf of DTCare, a 501 (c)(3) charity raising funds for the James Beard Foundation.

Last year, The Vulgar Vegan was part of the inaugural Berwyn Shops business incubator project's first season and was a runner up in Ingredion's Plant-based Protein Cook-Off. Our No Meat on These Ribz were praised by judges as tasting like “braised ribs,” a true compliment because none of the judges were vegan! This year, you'll find The Vulgar Vegan at the Riverside Farmer's Market, the Austin Town Hall City Market, the Brookfield Farmer's Market, the Naperville Artisan Market, the Oak Brook Artisan Market, Chicago Vegan Test Kitchen's markets, Cruelty Free You + Me's Vegan in the Burbs markets and more.
